BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

General – These booking conditions set out the basis upon which the accommodation reservations are accepted for clients (“You”, “Your party”) by Your Lettings Peterborough Ltd (“Us”, “We”, “Our”). Your contract for the hire of this house is with Your Lettings Peterborough Ltd.

Use of the property – It is forbidden to use our property for parties or gatherings of any kind. If, on arrival, it is felt you are intending to use the property for such an event you may be refused entrance. If it is discovered that you are holding such an event after arrival you will be required to leave immediately. In such circumstances, we are not obliged to provide or locate alternative accommodation. No refund will be given. The leading guest must be 18 year or older.

Smoking – We operate a NO SMOKING POLICY. Smoking is not permitted inside the property. If following your stay the room(s) smell of smoke, a £200 penalty will be charged.

Damaged bed sheets / duvet cover – In case of a loss or damaged bed sheet / duvet cover / towels, an additional charge of £15 per linen/towel will be charged. Pets – No pets of any kind are permitted in the property under any circumstances.

Number of Occupants – You are responsible for ensuring that the rooms are not occupied by more people than is stated on your booking application. We reserve the right to refuse admittance to the property if we feel this condition is likely to be breached or we may charge £40 per person per night for the exceeded number of guests. In this case no paid funds will be returned. The room / property cannot be re-let/sublet to any other group/party without the written approval of us. 

Damage or Theft from the property – Money, jewelleries and other valuables brought to the property are at the guest’s sole risk. We accept no liability and shall not be responsible for any loss or damage thereto and guests remain solely responsible for the safekeeping of any such items.

You are responsible for taking all reasonable care of the property and its contents. The property and all equipment, utensils, furniture etc. must be left clean and tidy at the end of the hire period. Except in the case of normal wear and tear the hirer will be responsible for making good any damage to or theft from the property or its contents, which has occurred due to negligence, wilful damage or irresponsible behaviour on the part of those occupying the property or their guests. Such damage must be reported, without delay, to Us. The cost of the repair or replacement must be agreed with, and paid to, Us. You are responsible for ensuring that no person staying or visiting the property during your stay will do anything which would endanger the policy of our insurers in respect of the property and its contents which might make the same void or voidable.

Keys and Security – Lost or stolen keys will be charged £50 per key. If the guest loses or misplaces the keys and assistance required outside of our office hours (Monday-Friday 09:00-17:30), an additional charge of £75 will be made to assist the guest in accessing the property. All windows need to be closed and locked on departure and when not in the property.

Methods of Payment – Payment must be made to Us in UK Pounds Sterling and must be clear of all bank charges, exchange rate variations, and any other deductions. We are pleased to accept the following methods of payment: VISA, Mastercard, American Express.

Security Deposit – £200 will be pre-authorised as a security deposit on the card the booking was made with. The security deposit is to cover additional charges, including breakages, damages, extra cleaning and further accommodation charges incurred during your stay. You will be advised whether this is payable.

Payment by Credit/Debit cards – Where Credit/Debit card details are held by Us the Final Payment, or any subsequent payment requests, made in line with these terms and conditions and notified to You, will automatically be debited from the card. Final Payment MUST be made in full prior to entering the house.

Meals – Meals are not included in the price.

Fair Usage Policy – Fair broadband usage is described as an average of 2GB download per day. This is sufficient for all normal activities, e.g. web browsing and emailing, but may be exceeded if there is a significant amount of activities such as video streaming. Please note: any illegal internet activity, e.g. peer-to-peer file sharing, will result in the internet access being closed down for the duration of your stay.

Cancellation by You – All notification of cancellation must be made in writing by email to Us. When notification is received 14 days or less prior to the first date cancelled, the full cost of the cancelled period is forfeit. If your stay is reduced in length (for any reason) the above cancellation terms will apply to shorten the stayp.

Cancellation by Us – In exceptional circumstances we may find it necessary to cancel your booking and if so, we shall make all reasonable efforts to offer a suitable alternative. If this is not acceptable, and assuming the cancellation is not as a result of events beyond our reasonable control, which shall include but not be limited to events such as war, civil strife, terrorist activity, labour disputes, natural or man-made disaster, fire, flood, and adverse weather conditions, we will refund any sum you have paid to us which shall constitute full and final settlement of any liability we may have to you as a result of such cancellation. This does not affect your statutory rights. More specifically, nothing in these conditions shall restrict our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

Termination by Us – We have the right to terminate a booking at any time on the grounds of abuse to staff or other guests, mistreatment of the house or criminal activity on the part of those occupying the house or their guests. If criminal activity has taken place, a fine of up to £5000 will be charged to cover lost bookings, damage to brand, business or other.

Injury or Loss – We cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, loss or damage to personal effects howsoever arising at the accommodation. Neither We, nor our representatives, can be held responsible for any circumstances beyond our control including, but not limited to, mechanical breakdown, illness or failure of any public service supply.

Rights of Access – Our representatives and subcontractors have the right of access to the property at any time, with due regard to the convenience of You, for the purpose of inspection of the property and to carry out any essential repair or maintenance work.

Complaints – Any complaints about the property, its contents, or our staff must be made in writing immediately to Us by email at info@yourlettingsuk.com. We will take all reasonable steps to settle the problem. We shall not have any liability for any complaint submitted after the completion of the rental period.

Litigation – In the event of any litigation arising from the booking of accommodation with us, the Courts in England shall have sole jurisdiction on such arising matters and English law prevalent at the time shall be applied at the times.

Insurance – The property hire cost does not include any personal insurance cover of any kind.

Security of Tenure – As the property is used as serviced holiday accommodation they are exempt from security of tenure under the Rent Act. The named client and any guests will agree to check out on the date specified and use the property only as a short term accommodation. This is not your prime residence and this is NOT a tenancy agreement, AST. 

Check-in – Check-in will be available after 15:00 on the day of arrival. Check-in instruction will be sent to the guest by email or text after 1 day prior to arrival. Arrangements can be made for an early check-in but this is subject to availability. 

Check-out – All rooms must be vacated by 11:00 am on the day of departure and keys must be returned as per the instruction. Arrangements can be made for a later checkout but this is subject to prior arrangement. If there is any delay in vacating the house beyond the agreed time a full day’s rental is charged to You. 

Waste Disposal – Please ensure that the waste disposal guideline will be followed. If the guideline was not followed, the council may refuse to empty the bins. If we need to arrange a bin collection service due to the guests’ incorrect way of waste disposal, we have the right to charge £100 for the waste disposal fee.

COVID-19 (also referred to as Coronavirus): Prior to arrival we will contact you seeking assurances that you and your fellow travellers: have not suffered from Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, are not currently suffering from any symptoms associated with Covid-19 and recently have not knowingly been in direct contact with a person suffering from Covid-19 symptoms. These questions may change depending on the current UK Government guidance for England. In order to meet to our guest’s expectations all while following the governments requirements for the Social Distancing, our accommodation has taken necessary measures as follows:

● Face covering/Social Distancing: If staying in a shared house, a face covering is required in order to access the property. Avoid entering the facility if you have a cough, fever, or other

● COVID-19 symptoms. Maintain a minimum 2 meter distance from one another. Do not shake hands or engage in any unnecessary physical contact.

● Essential Employees: In accordance with government guidelines, to minimize transmission of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we can only accept bookings from essential workers.

● Reasonable evidence must be provided prior to arrival. If it is not provided, your booking will be canceled on arrival.

Method of Payment: Guests are required to present a photo ID prior to check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Cash is not accepted.

● Safety and Sanitisation: In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19), additional safety and sanitation measures are currently in effect at our property.
